GARBC Moment #3

My favorite part of the conference is going out for coffee at night with our favorite friends: Dave and Leese King. Dave and Cody were roommates in college, and Leesa is the sweetest girl I have ever met! They live in southern Indiana, so we only get to see each other once a year at the conference. They also have four of the cutest little blond haired kids you've ever seen. They are so funny and play so well together. My favorite things about the Kings' are that one moment you are just about wetting your pants because they are so funny and the next you hearing something really great that God has taught them. I can't express how much we like this family!

Cloe loved their daughter, Lexi. The girls had played together a couple of times before, but this week they really got to know each other. Our boys were at grandma's and Leesa would send their other children back to the hotel with grandma, so the girls thought they were pretty special having their own table at Starbucks. Cloe really wanted to have Lexi over for a tea party this week. It was hard for her to understand how far away they live. Hopefully they will always be able to pick up their friendship from year to year.

This has been defined as "Classic Dave." He tends to have moments like this and usually Leesa ends up with the brunt of it. Poor girl!

This is our new pastor, Mike and his wife Liz. Mike was a roommate of Cody and Dave's, too. They always have a lot of funny reminiscing stories to share.

It's us! I love the time we get to spend together--especially at a coffee shop! We use to hang out at coffee shops all the time before we had kids. Now it's a very special occasion! I love how relaxing it is to sit together and just enjoy a cup of coffee!

Well, I think that's all for GARBC moments. The conference was okay--it was nice to see some progress made toward becoming more of an association to encourage and equip churches and not set tons of "resolutions" of what we won't do...I'm sure you understand! It's good to be home everyday and back to our normal routine! The daily traveling was very tiresome!
