Sunday Seven

It's always fun to see what things come to mind each week as I post seven things I'm thankful for...

I'm really thankful for November 8, 1996. Yep, twelve years ago yesterday, Cody asked me to be his girlfriend. Ahhhh.....I'd have to say it's all worked out rather amazing! It's funny how what started as a little smilin' and winkin' has turned into a love deeper than I could have ever imagined.**Fall 1999**

I'm thankful for God continuously showing me how to be a better wife and mom...sometimes it feels like I have to relearn lessons too often. I'm thankful for patience, forgiveness, and unconditional love!

I'm thankful for the understanding of salvation that God (or the Holy Spirit) is giving to Cloe. She had so many sweet little questions on our drive up to Estherville. It ended with her asking if she could pray by herself in the back seat to ask Jesus to be her Savior. I don't know how clear the understanding of her decision was, but I'm excited to know that she wants to follow Christ.

I'm really thankful for our MOPS moms! On Friday, I was so exhausted from the week that I really contemplated just skipping out. However, God had a lot of little blessings in store that I'm glad I didn't miss! Lydia's granola was amazing...and I got her demo batch! I got to hold a sweetheart of a baby boy with a little broken arm. He was so sad and then all of a sudden just looked up and gave me the sweetest little half grin. The boys decided to be "big" and go potty in the toilet! We also had two sweet moms join our group this week! I love MOPS!

I'm so thankful for this last little blast of warm weather we had! I'm going to really have to work on being content with colder weather...content to stay inside, content with only the sweaters I already own...

I'm thankful the elections are over! I'll have to admit, I'm a little disappointed at the reactions of some Christians to the results. No matter who won, my Savior is still sovereign and is no less in control of my future!! This should be a great opportunity for us to continuously bring our government before God in prayer!

This may seem silly...but I am so thankful for some great shopping bargains lately! I am reminded that God is in control of even the smallest things. It's fun to shop for gifts and see what God is going to provide!

I'll leave with a quote (slightly corny, but thought provoking) that I was reminded of at my parent's house this week. It's from the Back to the Bible guy on the radio: Have a good and godly day...for of what use is a good day unless it is also a godly day.

What a great Sunday 7! That's such a cute picture of you two. I hope you had a chance to go out and celebrate.
Have a great Monday "off"!
