Ho-ho-ho-hosanna! It's Ho-ho bars!

The other day, Caitlin asked if she could come over and help me make some sweet treats for Bible Study. Of course! I love help in the kitchen! We had a lot of fun making these Ho-ho bars! They are just as good as the real thing--even better with a cup of coffee! By the way, these are in no way healthy or good for you at all; they just taste awesome!

Ho-Ho Bars
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cocoa, heaping
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk

1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1/2 c. milk
1 T. water
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. powdered sugar, set aside

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
6 T. milk
6 T. butter

Cake: Mix dry ingredients; add water, eggs, melted butter, and buttermilk. Mix well. Bake in a jelly roll pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool.

Filling: Beat ingredients for five minutes. Add the two cups of powdered sugar. Spread over cooled bars.

Frosting: Boil sugar, margarine, and milk for 1 minute. Add the chocolate chips. Beat until thick. Spread over filling on bars. Cool.
