Oh how I would love to be blogging about the musings of my life...but, alas, I'm stapling.stapling.stapling.stapling BookFair letters to order forms. The guilt of the PTO's begging for volunteers overcame me and I said yes...yes to writing on and hanging posters all over the entire school and yes to stapling letters on to 680 book orders. You know, five hours of my life I'll never get back...that's ok, I guess.

Stapling was a good mindless activity which allowed plenty of time for me to mull over this Psalm. I love it. It's been one of my favorites for a long time. Mull it over for yourself!

Psalm 61
O God, listen to my cry!
Hear my prayer!
2 From the ends of the earth,
I cry to you for help
when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the towering rock of safety,
3 for you are my safe refuge,
a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
4 Let me live forever in your sanctuary,
safe beneath the shelter of your wings!
5 For you have heard my vows, O God.
You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name.
6 Add many years to the life of the king!
May his years span the generations!
7 May he reign under God’s protection forever.
May your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over him.
8 Then I will sing praises to your name forever
as I fulfill my vows each day.

I also have been looking for a reason to share these lyrics from one of my new favorite songs. Nothing profound to introduce them...

Life is full of light and shadow
O the joy and O the sorrow
O the sorrow

And yet will He bring
Dark to light
And yet will He bring
Day from night

When shadows fall on us
We will not fear
We will remember

When darkness falls on us
We will not fear
We will remember

When all seems lost
When we're thrown and we're tossed
We remember the cost
We rest in Him
Shadow of the cross

Please remember to pray for Malachi! Check out his story here.
