The Honda Moped
50cc
(whatever that means)
Mine was YELLOW.
Same WHITE baskets.
Same ORANGE flag.
Maxed out at 40 mph...but my parents said I couldn't go faster than 25 mph.
I was the epitome of coolness...or not.
If only I had gotten a RED Honda Scooter like the popular kids...
then I would have been cool...or still not.
Thanks for taking that walk down memory lane with me.
And thank goodness for growing up!
What was your sweet ride as a kid?

Hold UP! You had a moped?? I don't care what color it was or how fast you could go...that is awesome!!
My first ride was a brown, 2-door, manual, '79ish chevette. I'd kill it at every stop sign so I just drove around town reeeaaaallly slowly without ever stopping. Easy to do in a town with no stop LIGHTS.
I'm sorry you only had a yellow one - we could choose from orange and lime green - at least the colors were cool. I'm pretty sure I don't remember the flag - but maybe I'm blocking it out!! The horn was pretty sweet though! Nothing like garage saling on a moped!! I'm also pretty sure it helped to be 9 years older than you - it was possibly 1/100th cooler to ride a moped at that time!! HA HA!!!
hahaha! I love it! That's awesome!
oh and I'm already thinking arranged marriages are a GREAT idea!! :)
Hey Londa,
I am trying to find your homemade yogurt recipe post. I scanned through old posts and looked through the recipe section but couldn't find it. Could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks - Christen
My parents bought me a golf cart when I was 8 or 9 and I drove it all over our backyard. :)
I was always jealous of the kids with mopeds.
Girl, you crack me up. So the humility had nothing to do with purple outhouses? Just wondering. hehe...
