One big pot of HAPPY!

When I saw the colors pop in the broccoli and tomatoes, I seriously got giddy happy about this meal!
(I know...I need a life!)
This was the most refreshing summer meal.
It's super simple but packed full of flavor.
The kids couldn't get enough!

We just prepared some whole-wheat penne, added a head of cut of broccoli for the last minute of cooking, drained it well, and added fresh diced tomatoes, basil from our garden, and a little garlic salt.
The kids had a little parmesan on the top which always makes everything *perfect* in their cheesy-loving book!

What favorite summer vegetables will you add to your pasta?

it sort of sounds like the pasta salad we make...although we do lots of different peppers (green, red, orange, yellow, banana...)olives, cheery tomatoes, sometimes a little turkey pepperoni. mixed with some whole wheat pasta and some Italian dressing...and some people put some cheese on top of it...and we are good. Hope your summer is going well...miss you!

I read the title of your blog and thought "Yes, finally Londa has become cool." Then I realized your big pot of HAPPY was a salad. Are you kidding? The big pot of HAPPY has to be that the USA has qualified for the elimination round.

Please tell me you watched USA v. Algeria. What drama, what excitement. I almost choked on my vuvuzela. Please tell me you have at least bought a vuvuzela. Sure, I'm shattered that France was eliminated (and basically humiliated - oh, the insanity). Sorry, I am far from over this one.

Any way, I sincerely hope you have a ravaging case of World Cup fever (like every Frenchie that I know) and that you will be glued to your TV for the next USA match.

Oh, I just remembered, CloƩ plays soccer (better known as football). Now, you have to get the World Cup fever.

Your brother

PS Are you excited that the Tour de France is going to start on July 3? Are you excited that July 14 is France's national holiday? Now, those things are a huge pot of HAPPY.
