Second grade is HERE! {updated!}

Sunday night, we headed out for a little mama/daughter time!
Ramona and Beezus is the CUTEST little movie ever... should see it.
Wish I could bottle up Cloe's giggles!
Bring a tissue, too!
Monday we headed to Back-to-School night.
Cloe met her new teacher, Miss Schultz.
Cloe's comments: "Ooo good.  I got the teacher that wears cute clothes!"
(Because that's our standard of a good teacher?)
Next, Cloe picked out a desk and unloaded her supplies.

And now...TODAY...
All ready for her first day of second grade!

This picture slightly captures the goofiness at our house!
The little brothers had to escort Cloe to her classroom.
New backpack in her locker and all ready for the day.

(Now mom has to!  At least my tears waited until we were outside!)

By the way, I seriously have the best friends in the world!  I had so many little emails, texts, and notes today reminding me that my friends were praying for our first day!  I love them!!!
Never underestimate the value of a note saying you're praying for a friend!  Thanks, Girls!

The after school finale!
(Thanks for this awesome idea, Katie!)

How did the first day go?
Two thumbs up for second grade!

The boys had bought a couple of presents for Cloe to celebrate her first day back to school.
(and to mourn their loneliness!)

Meet Ms. Squiggles the zhu zhu pet:
the only type of "pet" that will ever grace our home.

The ballerina shrink art was also a hit!

(Some Thrifty Thursday I'll share how we got these presents for nearly free at the  mall!  Yippee!)

And that was our back-to-school day!

How did your back-to-school day go?

So glad to see this happy post. I honestly prayed for you about a dozen times today. And for little Cloe...who looked traumatized about having to go back to school....NOT :)

I love it! The pictures are super cute... and I've SO been wanting to see Ramona & Beezus, it didn't come to our little town though! OH and it's just perfect that she's excited about having the teacher who wears the cute clothes :)

So glad she had fun. That makes such a difference on the heart of a mama. They are all such cuties... all 3 of them. :) And a teacher with cute clothes must be a sign she's smart. Right? Hehe...

Glad to hear that movie is good. I've wanted to take the girls to see it.

Sweet friends you have!

What an adorable second grader! So glad her first day went well - and hopefully yours did too! Your chalk art was fabulous! :)

I was thinking of taking Addie to that movie for her b-day. Glad to hear it's worth it!

I love Chloe's back-to-school dress. She looked so cute! I'm so glad it went well. And glad you have a little more time before all your kids head out for school.
