Nine Years!

Nine years ago this month marks a special new beginning for Cody and I.

We had both graduated from college and were just waiting...and waiting...and waiting...

And then it happened!

Cody got a call from Pastor Pausley asking him to interview for the position of Music Pastor at Willow Creek Baptist Church.

We interviewed, we visited, we candidated,  they voted...YES!

And I became...a Pastor's wife.

During the last nine years, God has taught me so much more than I could have ever imagined.

We've walked through some dark times,
experienced grief and trials,
cried with those we love,
and begged God in prayer for guidance.

We've also experienced the most joyous of times,
developed amazing friendships,
seen incredible answers to prayers,
tightly hugged new brothers and sisters in Christ,
watched our people learn, grow, and serve together,
and so fully experienced God's all-powerful love and glorious sustaining grace.

We couldn't have imagined a better place to be.
We absolutely love Willow Creek!

Psalm 126:3
The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

*I snagged this recording of our family during our devotions last week.  We're not the Partridge Family...just consider yourself warned!

That was so adorable! Great job on the video - I especially loved the singing. Too cute!!!

And congrats on 9 years! You are such an amazing, God-loving, generous, caring pastor's wife. I'm so blessed to have you!! :)

Wait... Do you two go to the same church?

I'm not seeing the video? :( 9 years. In ministry years, that's more like 90, right? ha. ;) Music ministry is fun... It was my 'happy place.' ;)

I'm extremely glad God called you to Willow Creek so I could later become a pastor's wife with you!
(p.s. Consider yourself fake hugged--they're much better than my real ones :-))

Congratulations! That is so neat to hear and see. It is just amazing what God can do through us but mostly in us. (know what I mean??) James and I were just talking today about how good it is for a church when the leadership is established for years. I am sure that God has great things in store for you in the next 9!

Praying that your love will abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment...filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Congrats on 9 years! I didn't realize Pastor Pausley was there when you started -- is that how you know Mandi?

2 things.
First of all, it is such a blessing hear a pastor's wife speak of and share about her ministry with such obvious love for the people. I'm as sure you are amazing in this roal, Londa!
Second, loved hearing your family sing. :)
